Tempest '26 now features bigger solar panels and a completely redesigned charging system that keeps your station running strong, even on cloudy days. The Tempest device has long used a super long-lasting, rechargeable lithium titanate (LTO) battery that can go through more than 20,000 charge cycles before seeing significant performance degradation, far exceeding the typical lithium-ion batteries found in other products. That said, to maximize longevity for devices that outlast their battery, the latest Tempest model has been modified so that the internal battery is now removable and replaceable.

Your weather data just got even more precise. The latest Tempest model includes upgraded temperature, humidity, and rain sensors for sharper, more reliable readings right where you live. And even if you already own a Tempest, you’ll benefit from ongoing firmware updates that improve the reliability of rain measurements across all models.
